Air traffic strike July 3 and 4

Due to a national strike of air traffic controllers, disruptions on the flight schedule are possible on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 July 2025.
Currently here is the list of canceled flights:
- Thursday 3 July: London Stansted and East-Midlands with Ryanair, Lyon with Chalair (CE075 and CE076)
- Friday 4 July: Bristol, Marrakesh, Leeds-Bradford, Manchester et London Stansted with Ryanair and Lyon with Chalair (CE073/074 et CE075 and CE076).

Other flights may experience delays.

Funchal

Funchal/Madeira Island

Located on the island of Madeira in Portugal, Funchal is the capital of the island. It is the starting point of many visits towards the rest of the island. Volcanic in origin, the island of Madeira is located in the Atlantic Ocean west of Morocco and it enjoys a temperate and mild climate. It is approximately 55 km long and 24 km wide.

Madeira Island is characterised by lush tropical vegetation with exotic flowers, banana and tropical trees. The sceneries are varied : in the east of the island, one can discover a mountain scenery  and cliffs falling into the sea; in the centre of the island you'll be able to see many vineyards , hydrangeas and rhododendrons and west of the island is its wildest part.
